Some helpful information. I started and finished this book in one day it was well written and engaging I didn t find it especially helpful for blogging, but it wasn t a specific blogging book and, though I ve never previously sought out food blogging literature, I ve had my blog for two years That said, I think it s an excellent starting point for those looking at various food writing options, and I like that she recommends other books for further research once you decide what aspect s of food writing you are interested in. This was for the food memoir category I admit this one is a bit of a stretch for this category Jacob s book is a guide on writing a food memoir Or blog Or cookbook Or any food related publication Or write reviews This is a must for anyone wanting to do any writing connected with the culinary world This book is even a good resource for those who want to write, even if their interest is not in food I m about as non foodie as you get, but even I had some good takeaways from this Jacob falls back not only on her years of writing experience, but quotes heavily from other food writers including Cleveland s own Laura Taxel, of Cleveland Ethnic Eats This book is well organized and easy to follow, and while it is a how to guide, it s never dry Really, my only recommendations are that, if there are plans for another revised version, is to add a section on how to handle trolls, troublemakers and flame wars in blogs and social media, and how to best promote yourself via social media Otherwise, this is quite thorough There s plenty of recommendations for blogs, writing resources, cookbooks, how to get published, and There are even writing exercises throughout. I was hoping this book would be tremendous It is It has value for writers just developing a craft and a profile But for writers exploring the diversity of modes, forms and genres of food writing, this has great value There is attention to freelancing, blogs and other digital writing avenues The writing style by Jacob is crisp and clean The book offers clear directions and a guide through food writing However inexperienced or senior the writer may be, there are some strategies and protocols that are useful and instructive. If you are writing about food, then this is a book to help you do it. This was a great resource definitely gave me insight into writing my food blog and hopefully a cookbook Fantastic resource I can t really say I m completely finished reading it as I know I will eep going back to reread. Highly recommended for food bloggers and those who are passionate about restaurants reviews and cookbooks. Excellent resource for food writers I really enjoyed the chapters on blogging and cookbook writing this really helped me improve my writing and find my voice as a food writer. I love this book There were so much useful advice Some of the chapters don t pertain to what I want to do right now, however, I know I will be going back to reference this book many times. `Download ↛ Will Write for Food ☛ Love Sharing Recipes And Want To Start A Food Blog Interested In Writing A Cookbook Like To Be The First To Discover Restaurants In Your Town Get Will Write For Food And Find All You Need To Put Your Passion Onto The Page Cookbook Coauthor, Blogger And Writing Coach Dianne Jacob Gives Both Aspiring And Accomplished Food Writers Ways To Succeed And Thrive In This Revised And Updated Edition Learn Everything From Secrets Of Developing, Testing And Writing Recipes To Making Your Voice Heard In Today S Crowded Blogosphere And Where To Freelance Online Practical, Informative, And Inspiring, This Insider Guide Includes A New Food Blogging Chapter Packed With Critical Information About How To Draw In Readers, Take Great Photos, And Get Noticed Advice From Successful Writers As Varied As David Lebovitz And Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond, As Well As Respected Editors And Literary Agents Updated Info On How To Get A Book Published Or Self Published, Memoir Writing, And Restaurant Reviewing Easy Writing Exercises, Helpful Tips, And Insider Secrets A Concise, Illustrative And Eminently Useful Guide To The Nuts And Bolts Of Professional Food Writing Dianne Jacob Gets Right To The Heart Of What It Takes Not Just To Write But To Write Well About Food And She S Managed To Wrangle A Remarkable Group Of Veterans To Share Their Experiences And Examples Anthony Bourdain, Author Of The New York Times Bestseller Kitchen Confidential
