Note, I read this 2007 edition Perhaps the 2012 edition is better The main problem that I have here is that several of the recommendations in here are counter to current recommendations This makes the rest of the book hard to trust Further, there are no citations or references given, which makes it hard to understand where this guidance is coming from. [[ DOWNLOAD BOOK ]] ⇬ The Moms on Call Guide to Basic Baby Care: The First 6 Months ↻ Amazing EPub, The Moms On Call Guide To Basic Baby Care The First 6 Months Author Laura Hunter This Is Very Good And Becomes The Main Topic To Read, The Readers Are Very Takjup And Always Take Inspiration From The Contents Of The Book The Moms On Call Guide To Basic Baby Care The First 6 Months, Essay By Laura Hunter Is Now On Our Website And You Can Download It By Register What Are You Waiting For Please Read And Make A Refission For You This has really great practical information, especially for those new or expectant parents like my husband and I, who haven t spent a lot of time taking care of babies before having their own.I hear the DVD that accompanies this book is super helpful as well this is a recommendation from my husband s SIL and I m almost considering buying this one to keep at home as a reference The book lists many different sickness and injury scenarios and succinctly describes how to work through each one I particularly appreciated the last section of the book which basically helps you navigate the pediatrician s office setting as well as the emergency room environment I was a little turned off by some mentions of Christianity this coming from someone who attends church weekly Mentions of how God created the human body to handle falls, and how one of the authors encourages their child with Bible verses at bed time really seem to disrupt the flow of the book for me and could be potentially isolating for a certain reader Looking past that, I would highly recommend the book, especially to first time parents. There were lots of helpful tips in here I took what worked for us but by no means followed it precisely The best thing I took out of the book was the importance of maintaining a schedule that had the baby awake and playing in between feeding and napping And there were some good practical tips bathing, etc But for the life of me I couldn t get the baby to nap as often as they said I should. I like that this book isn t quick to assume the newbie parent knows much We don t However, there was some information that seemed to clash with advice I m getting from my nurse and other current sources I disagree with letting a 2wo cry it out Get the revised edition. Read this over and over with my son a few years ago Great advice for new parents But the best advice I got PICK ONE BOOK on caring for your newborn s and STICK WITH IT So even if it s not this book, just pick one This has a lot of really good helpful info for new parents I like it because it is of a quick reference rather than a book on child rearing where they spend the entire time trying to convince you that their method is the best Very helpful. Great way to start a schedule for your baby. Good basics and reminders about baby care I liked the format and the simplicity of it. I love MOC but don t love the book Don t waste your time with this, just do the online seminars though, they are revising the books, so hopefully that helps
